ALL NEW 4 DAY FORMAT! - Advance your knowledge and understanding of laser and IPL technologies and medical cosmetic treatments by taking the latest and most comprehensive BTEC qualification. Competence based modules teach and demonstrate the latest advances in laser and IPL treatments including: treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions, skin rejuvenation (ablative and non ablative), hair reduction and tattoo removal. Delivered in a new four day format,  this Professional Certificate BTEC offers you the opportunity to study and learn by lecture, group exercises, treatment demonstrations and practical exercises.

The qualification is run in a new 4 day format including theory and practical work to extend and develop your knowledge in all aspects of current medical cosmetic practice.  You will learn about:

• Laser/IPL technology and safety                    Patient consultation and communication
• Skin A&P and light tissue interactions          Light based skin rejuvenation
• Light based hair reduction                              Treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions
• Tattoo removal                                                   Body contouring treatments

There are written and practical exercises each day and a post course Treatment Log Book and Clinical Case Study submission. This internationally recognised qualification has been developed exclusively by LCS Academy and is awarded and quality assured by Edexcel. The qualification totals150 guided learning hours and will require some evening study during, between and after course attendance.

Due to the content and assessment criteria of this qualification, entry is open to doctors, registered nurses, dentists and registered healthcare professionals. Prior to acceptance onto the qualification delegates must provide evidence of:

• Current registration with appropriate professional medical/healthcare body
• Recent attendance on a recognised ‘Core of Knowledge’ course
• A good standard of written and spoken English
