The advanced qualification for practicing beauty therapists and healthcare professionals using IPL and laser technologies for aesthetic treatments. Improve your knowledge and confidence in the use of light and energy based systems by attending the latest and most comprehensive BTEC qualification in aesthetic procedures. Competence based modules reflect the advances in IPL and laser treatments for hair reduction and light based skin rejuvenation (non ablative). This new BTEC is delivered and assessed by expert tutors helping you to improve your clinical understanding and treatment delivery.
The qualification runs over 4 days and includes theory and practical work to extend and develop your knowledge of all aspects of current aesthetic practice. Over a total of four days you will learn about:
- Laser/IPL technology and safety
- Patient consultation and communication
- Skin anatomy and physiology and light tissue interactions
- Light based skin rejuvenation including treatment of vascular & pigmented lesions
- Light based hair reduction
After attendance on the course, delegates must complete a Treatment Log Book and Client Case Study for award of the qualification. Full details provided upon registration.

- Recent attendance on a recognised ‘Core of Knowledge’ course
