Goodbye Healthcare Commission.....Hello Care Quality Commission (CQC) As of the 1st of April the Care Quality Commission took over the responsibilities of the Healthcare Commission. For those providing currently laser/IPL services things will continue much as before with the current regulation of services now in place until October 2010 and not April 2010 as previously stated. However an alternative approach to registration is currently being developed by the Department of Health for those needing to register with CQC and we will soon be able to bring you full details of the proposed scheme and how it will affect you and your business.
You should visit the CQC website regularly to check that you have the latest information. Follow this link to the CQC guidance and forms for independent healthcare providers.
