Qualification Dates The qualification is delivered as a split three and two day event. Delegates must successfully complete Part 1 and Part 2 and the post course Case Study to achieve the BTEC Qualification.
Delegates may choose between separate Part 1 and Part 2 dates.
Pt 1: Tues 23 - Thurs 25 June Pt 2: Tues 21 - Wed 22 July or Pt 1: Tues 8 - Thurs 10 Sept Pt 2: Tues 6 - Wed 7 October
Qualification Fee £1550 + VAT payable prior to attendance. Fee includes: notes & reference materials, Certificate of Attendance, lunch and refreshments for each day, Edexcel qualification registration fee. Accommodation is not included but we can provide details of local hotels/B&B. |

An internationally recognised short course qualification for aesthetic laser and pulsed light practitioners* Improve your knowledge and confidence in the use of laser and pulsed light technologies by attending the latest and most comprehensive BTEC qualification in light based and non surgical procedures. Competence based modules reflect the advances in laser and IPL treatments including: hair removal, tattoo removal, treatment of pigmented and vascular lesions and light based skin rejuvenation. This new medical laser BTEC is delivered and assessed by expert tutors in medical and aesthetic theory and practice helping you to improve your clinical understanding and treatment delivery.
The most up-to-date BTEC laser/IPL qualification The qualification includes theory and practical work to extend and develop your knowledge of all aspects of current aesthetic/medical practice. Over a total of five days you will learn about and observe: · Laser/IPL technology and safety · Patient consultation and communication · Skin A&P and light tissue interactions · Light based skin rejuvenation · Light based hair removal · Treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions · Tattoo removal
Delegates will take assessed written and practical exercises each day and must complete a Case Study after attendance. This internationally qualification has been developed exclusively by LCS Academy and is awarded and quality assured by Edexcel. The qualification totals 150 notional learning hours and will require some evening study during the course and post course work.

Course entry criteria Due to the content and assessment criteria of this qualification entry is open to doctors, registered nurses, dentists and registered healthcare professionals. Prior to acceptance onto the qualification delegates must provide evidence of: · Current registration with appropriate professional medical/healthcare body · Recent attendance on a recognized ‘Core of Knowledge’ course · A good standard of written and spoken English
After attendance on the course, delegates must complete a Case Study for award of the qualification. Full details provided upon registration.
