All laser/IPL facilities must be registered with the Care Quality Commission (QCC) and must meet ‘national minimum standards’ (NMS) according to the services they offer. One such standard (P2) specifies the training requirements for laser or IPL practitioners—referred to as the ‘Core of Knowledge’ - which is the minimum training required by CQC Assessors. Our full one day course includes materials from the new guidance document issued by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) - so you can be sure you receive the most up-to-date and relevant training and information. The most up-to-date syllabus We go beyond the minimum syllabus and offer experience, expertise and quality teaching from friendly and knowledgeable tutors. You will learn about: · Features of light from laser and IPL equipment · Treatment fundamentals—light-tissue interactions · Hazards from equipment and laser/IPL beams · Working safely in the laser/IPL Controlled Area · Safety procedures, policies and safety management · Care Quality Commission registration requirements
Not only do you get excellent reference materials but you also have the opportunity to discuss manufacturer’s literature, equipment choices and CQC registration/compliance issues. How about at your place? If you would like us to run this course at your place of work and talk specifically about your equipment or applications—just call us to discuss the details (subject to minimum numbers) |
