Laser & IPL Deregulation?? July 2009 The government is currently consulting on the future regulation of the aesthetic laser and IPL industry. They have conceded that the industry needs some form of statutory regulation but they do not want the CQC to be the regulator. The race is now on to find a new and more acceptable regulator and regulatory regime before October 2010. |

Award for our Expert Medical Practitioner (EMP)! June 2009 Dr Philip Dobson, Laser Care Services’ very own in-house EMP has successfully completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Minor Surgery, accredited by the Middlesex University. Dr Dobson said that he was delighted to have been awarded the Diploma which assesses both theoretical and practical surgical techniques in the management of skin conditions. |

Self Assessment Time Again! July 2009 Yes folks, it’s that time again. The CQC have sent out their letters to the next batch of registered establishments asking for the submission of evidence and completion of the self assessment forms. Remember these need to be in by the July 31 - if you do not get them in, you are guaranteed an inspection in the next couple of months. Don’t forget to contact us to get the latest version of the template for completion of the form - and yes, it has changed again! |
